(FAW) Fire Awareness - Warsaw and entire Poland

The (FAW) FIRE Awarness - Fire Protection training course is dedicated to wind turbine workers and those working at height.

Purpose of the training

(FAW) Fire awareness - Fire protection GWO 

The primary objective of the training (FAW) Fire Awareness organised by the OSO Training Centre is to familiarise participants with the basic principles of fire safety and to teach them how to act in fire emergency situations. The course participants will gain knowledge of fire safety legislation and practical skills to properly assess the extent of the fire danger, as well as how to effectively and safely extinguish a fire using basic extinguishing agents.

Programme

Fire protection training GWO (FAW) Fire Awareness has been constructed on the basis of the requirements of the Technical Inspection Authority and current legislation. The training includes familiarisation with legal aspects, learning how to deal with fire hazards on wind turbines and practical exercises based on realistic scenarios. 

At the end of the course, the participant will have acquired knowledge in: 

  • identify the causes of wind turbine fires and the associated risks; 
  • recognising early signs of fire within turbines; 
  • creating personalised emergency plans for wind turbines, including fire detection strategies and detailed evacuation procedures; 
  • combating the spread of fire and giving characteristics of the course of the fire; 
  • the effective conduct of firefighting operations at wind turbines, including the proper use of basic firefighting measures; 
  • skills to create emergency plans for wind turbines, including fire detection and evacuation procedures; 

The CSO Training Centre programme aims to provide participants with sound knowledge and skills to respond professionally to wind turbine fire situations. 

Crops

We are accredited by DNV and GWO. 

Training (FAW) Fire Awareness is carried out in accordance with the current standard GWO Basic Safety Training.  

Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certificate confirming the completion of the training and the acquisition of qualifications and skills in the area of fire protection. With the skills acquired, the trainee is prepared to work safely both in the wind energy sector and in other environments where there is a risk of fire.  

Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order to work at heights:

  • Adult 
  • At least secondary education 
  • valid certificate from an occupational physician that there are no health conditions for working at a height of more than three metres 
  • social security or accident insurance paid 
  • having a WINDA ID number 
  • completed medical questionnaire 
  • paid training fee 
  • identity card 
  • working clothes (gloves and working boots) - needed for the activities on the fire training ground 

The course is important: 24 months 

Maximum number of participants per group: 10-12 persons 

Price

Price of training (FAW) Fire Awareness is determined on an individual basis. The fee depends on the number of participants attending. We offer attractive discounts for larger groups. 

Duration of training: 1 day

We provide training in various locations, including Warsaw and at our regional branches throughout the country. We also offer on-site training, including travel to the client.
