Operation and supervision in the operation of devices, installations and networks

The ordinance of the Minister of Economy, Labor and Social Policy of April 28, 2003 on the detailed rules for confirming qualifications by persons involved in the operation of devices, installations and networks, defines, inter alia, the types of works, positions and devices, installations and energy networks, the operation of which is appropriate qualifications required.

Pursuant to the regulations, carrying out works on electrical, heating and gas equipment, installations and networks can be divided into two categories: operation and supervision:

• operation stations - include operation, maintenance, repair, assembly, control and measurement works
• supervision positions - refer to positions of employees managing the activities of persons conducting works in the field of operation and positions of technical employees supervising the operation of devices, installations and networks

Therefore, the G1-G2-G3 trainings also differ in terms of topics - you can choose a course for operation or supervision positions, or for both of them.

Persons in operating positions must have knowledge of:

• construction, operation and technical conditions for the operation of devices, installations and networks
• instructions and rules for the operation of devices, installations and networks
• rules and conditions for carrying out control, measurement and assembly works
• principles and requirements of health and safety and security Fire and first aid skills
• instructions on how to proceed in the event of a failure, fire or other safety hazard for the operation of devices or threats to life, health and the environment

Persons in operating positions must have knowledge of:

• rules for the connection of equipment and installations to the grid, for the supply of fuel and energy and for the operation and maintenance of equipment, installations and networks
• regulations and rules of conduct when programming the operation of devices, installations and networks, taking into account the principles of rational use of fuels and energy
• regulations on operation, requirements for the maintenance of technical and operational documentation and the application of the operation manual
• regulations applicable to the construction of devices, installations and networks as well as the standards and technical conditions which they should comply with
• regulations relating to health and safety and fire protection, including first aid and environmental protection requirements
• rules of conduct in the event of a failure, fire or other threat to the safety of the movement of devices connected to the network
• principles of power management of devices connected to the network
• rules and conditions for carrying out control, measurement and assembly works
