What are flange connections?

Flanged joints are the most common type of mechanical connection used in the creation of industrial installations. They are mainly used in the plumbing industry, in the creation of water pipes and sewage systems. Assembling a mechanical connection is nothing more than joining two components together using a fastener, such as a bolt.

Each flange connection consists of several basic components: two steel flanges, a gasket and connecting elements. Flange connections have many advantages, which is why they are so popular. They contribute to the tightness of the entire installation, which can serve us for many years to come. This exceptional tightness is achieved through the use of rubber or steel gaskets. This method ensures structural rigidity, which increases protection against damage. The construction of the joint also allows the installation to be quickly dismantled in the event of failure or maintenance work.

We use flange connections with pipes:

  • cast iron with fittings,
  • steel with fittings,
  • PVC with fittings,
  • PEHD with fittings.

The only requirements we set for participants are:

  • reaching the age of eighteen,
  • basic education,
  • no health contraindications (before starting the course, we refer the student to a medical examination).

If you meet the above requirements, this course is for you!
