Central heating boilers - unit characteristics

In order to provide an efficient yet safe way to heat residential or office buildings, central heating boilers are used, which differ in the way they are installed due to the different needs of the users. The boiler stoker has the skills to carry out the correct and at the same time safe installation of the boiler. In addition to the correct installation, its supervision should also be carried out by a person who is familiar with the equipment and who has completed courses providing him with the necessary knowledge of safety rules. In spite of the technological improvements made to the boilers, their continued operation which would not be inspected by anyone could prove fatal and lead to malfunctions (explosion or smoke). Therefore, the correct and sensible solution is to entrust both the installation and the supervision to a person qualified to do so, with the required authorisations, which we - OSO - help our customers to obtain. We teach our trainees how to use a number of safety features, such as automated fuel metering, which is designed to facilitate boiler operation while ensuring the safety of users. In this way, a person who is familiar with the regulations in force, as well as having the relevant skills, is able to ensure the safe and functional operation of the equipment in question.

Health and Safety

A correct heating installation should be mounted on a non-combustible base, and likewise its surroundings should be free of flammable materials to prevent a fire from breaking out. Health and safety rules include correct operation of the appliance and its maintenance - regular cleaning of the boiler and flue pipes, also in the case of heating boilers, it is mandatory to remove soot from the chimney. Periodic chimney inspections and proper ventilation will prevent the boiler room from being smoky. Chad is the main danger for the CO burner, so it is advisable to permanently open the supply duct. Boilers should be inspected periodically to avoid unexpected accidents during operation. Any faults noticed should be reported immediately to the supervisor and the services of thermal equipment repair specialists should be used.

You are cordially invited to start working with OSO.
