The excavator operator course will enable you to gain valuable and industry-required skills. By taking our courses, you will have the opportunity to gain theoretical information but also practical skills. You will be able to practice these on modern equipment, under the guidance of qualified instructors with extensive experience as operators and maintainers of various construction machines. We ensure a high level of teaching and a pleasant atmosphere during the classes.

Our offer 

Our training consists of two stages - theoretical and practical. Both are taught by instructors with long experience. 

Theoretical part 

During theoretical part Students will gain general knowledge about excavators. They also learn all the information on: 

  • construction and operation of excavators, 
  • organisation of excavator work, 
  • the handling and operation of excavators, 
  • modern construction machinery and its systems, 
  • use of technical documentation, 
  • Health, Safety and Security. 

Practical exercises We conduct our courses on traditional but also modern types of excavators of class I and III. Our instructors teach how to perform the operator's duties correctly, which enables our trainees to learn faster and learn how to operate the equipment efficiently. The number of hours of practical classes is set in such a way as to comprehensively train and teach course participants how to perform basic and advanced excavator operator duties. 

After training, you will be able to operate equipment from brands such as. New Holland, Liebher, Caterpillar i Volvo

State examination 

Like the course as a whole, the examination also consists of a theoretical and a practical part, and in order to pass the whole, it is necessary to score the required number of points. After passing the test, a licence for excavator operator is issued, and the body responsible for issuing such documents is the Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining.

Purpose of the course 

The aim of our training courses is primarily to prepare trainees for employment as Class III and Class I excavator operators. The course participants should be able to perform basic and slightly more difficult tasks with an excavator, but also have knowledge of occupational health and safety, legal regulations and the construction and operation of the machine they are working on. The aim of our course is also to prepare the trainees to successfully pass the final examination and to obtain the qualifications and entitlements required to work as an excavator operator. 

The training we organise can be attended by anyone who: 

  • is over 18 years of age, 
  • have at least primary or lower secondary education, 
  • has no health contraindications to work as an operator. 

We do not require a driving licence! 

We train for the operator of 2 types of excavators: 

  • Class III excavator - allows single-headed excavators to work up to a maximum of 25 tonnes in total weight, 
  • Class I excavator - allows single-headed excavators to also work above 25 tonnes gross weight. 

In addition, we offer a course in backhoe loader operator and maintenance qualifications.

  • the opportunity to try out the machine before buying it, 
  • the possibility of hiring a replacement machine (forklift or scissor lift).

Questions and Answers

Who can take the excavator operator course?

If you want to train as an excavator operator, you must be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of primary or lower secondary school education and have no contraindications to working as an operator. 

Does the training prepare you to operate a single manufacturer's excavator?

No. After our excavator operator course, you will be able to operate machines from brands such as New Holland, Volvo, JCB and others. 

Do you offer a backhoe loader operator course?
